"You tin can keep doing what you lot're supposed to, what you're expected to, and tell yourself it'due south what you lot want…merely if you don't really believe it, if all that fourth dimension yous're harboring a doubt so deep it creeps into even your best moments, and you lot intermission the rules and step away…you lot are going to have to explain it to yourself."

Cover: I personally prefer the American encompass of this volume by far! Ours is so cute with the stars and the Gilded Gate Bridge!

Chapter length/pacing: The affiliate-length & pacing for this book was bang-up! Not too footling, not besides much. I too dearest how it was paced considering it was told past days of the week, and every twenty-four hours was full of adventure.

Characters: The characters were lovely in this volume. I continued to most of them on bully levels and out of all of them, I liked Kate and Ryan the best. I institute myself fond of Kate due to me sorta in her shoes at this point in my life. With her beingness ancy about college/life choices, and struggling to find courage, I felt sympathy and related to her worries.

Ryan struck me considering he's a passionate character and he evoked feelings out of me. For example, I was mad at him for a while for breaking Marker's heart, but when he texted Mark and said he needed him and Marker found him crying his eyes out in bed, I felt sympathy and I stopped being bitter. He also reminded me of Damian from Mean Girls OOPS.

Moving on, I wanted so much more out of Violet! I feel like I began to connect with her?? Simply overall, she remained a mystery in my heed. I really wanted to discover her personality and know things other than she'due south impulsive in a expert manner, she came from the circus, and she isn't sure what she wants out of life. I loved what I got, just I wanted more.

Lastly, I liked Marking in this volume, but I didn't dearest him. I couldn't picture him and he felt kinda second (even though his emotions were very much 3D.) I think he'southward more of a great comfort character for when your heart is broken because he validates all the feelings yous may have in times of distraught. In reality, if I was going through heartbreak, I definitely would've liked him more.

It was so refreshing to read a book that was jam-packed with characters of more than 2 genders. The diversity was astounding. I feel similar this book is super of import for not only LGBT+ allies to read but those that are a part of the community themselves. Equally an outsider looking in, it truly seemed to exist a gay utopian society (which some can debate is misleading since it doesn't portray much bigotry of LGBT+ people,) just to me, I think it may be a "experience adept" book for those that are actually facing that bigotry. I mean, some of the states read to temporarily get away from our reality. So for someone who'due south living in a non-utopian society (aka everyone alive), it's good to read of what could be someday and inspire our LGBT+ members to stay strong for time to come generations. There'southward really non much I tin say that I didn't similar about this book. Information technology may seem biased since Levithan is one of my favorite authors, only piece of work like this just proves why he's ane of my favorite authors.

Then in that location are my thoughts on You Know Me Well. If y'all've read it, let me know what you recall about it! Also, there should be at least one more mail this month!
